MEMORY REMAINS II

MEMORY REMAINS II

This one was taken a while ago. I’m expecting large prints to be returned from a photo exibition held in Niš, so I figured out it’s about time to share it with you :) I have a few more in old-postcard style, which I plan to publish sooner or later (later, knowing myself:) No you didn’t miss number one from this series :)

Wow, I love the texture. I was about to ask if this one had been cross-processed, then I remembered you are a digital man… May I ask how did you do it?

Sure thing :) I don’t remember exactly what I did, as I processed it 5 months ago (and a bit more yesterday:) but in general I increased saturation, used sepia coloring, used USM a lot in order to get that grainy feeling (I avoid using high ISO for that purpose, as I don’t get the same type of grain) and last night I experimented with shadows and highlights as I wasn’t very satisfied with increased contrast alone. It brought up equal tonality :)

I have no idea why but I find this image very sad – It’s just a feeling, who knows why.

I like the post-processing on this and the lonliness it conveys. I also like your “about” page. I’m just as confused now though :)

Superb processing. Love how it is locked up (by a cable through the back wheel) even though the bike could just be picked up and carried away.

  12. Caryn says:

Great bike! Love the sepia toning effect, too.
